Dr Christine Rose

Christine Rose is a well established and highly respected consultant and trainer. Nationally recognised as an expert in equality, she specialises in supporting organisations to respond to the requirements of equality legislation. She works closely with organisations such as the LSC, LSIS, LSN, Skill, NIACE, AoC, ACER and the Commissions (particularly the Disability Rights Commission and the Commission for Racial Equality, now amalgamated into the Equality and Human Rights Commission). She has an impressive client portfolio, providing consultancy support and training to numerous colleges, ACL and WBL providers and universities.

Christine has considerable experience in designing and leading national and regional equality research and development programmes to identify and share best practice. For example, she led a major national action research project to support more than 150 organisations to respond to the requirements of equality legislation, including arranging and leading network meetings, facilitating collaborative partnership working, planning and delivering dissemination events and evaluating project outcomes and activities.  She recently led an action research project in the East of England to support providers to embed more effectively equality within quality improvement activities. 

She is the author of a range of national guidance publications, briefings and toolkits. For example, she produced a suite of materials for the FE sector on implementing the Disability Equality Duty. She is one of the main authors of guidance for the education sector, written on behalf of the Disability Rights Commission (DRC), and launched by the DRC in August 2007. She wrote the answers to a set of 75 Frequently Asked Questions on the DRC website. She has published guidance on carrying out equality impact assessments

She is a regular platform speaker and workshop leader for national and regional conferences and training events.A former Senior Manager, she has worked extensively within the education and training sector. She has a proven track record in strategic planning, leadership, change management, equality and diversity, performance reporting and quality improvement.
