How do we decide what is meant by “Personalisation” and what is the impact for both staff and students?
This interactive and practical workshop investigates the elements that constitute Personalisation;
- Responding to the needs of the whole person
- Seeking and responding to the views of the learner
- Responding to the needs of the local community and employers
- Raising the ambitions of all learners
- Supporting every learner to become expert
- Encouraging individuals to take responsibility
- Fostering openness and trust
It includes practical strategies and approaches to support effective learning and develop success for students. It also identifies the link between personalised learning and motivation.

During this event you will:
- identify key elements of Personalised Learning
- explore ‘learning journeys’ with regard to personalisation
- consider how personalisation unlocks motivation and engages disaffected learners
- investigate the skills that students and staff will require in order for personalisation to be an effective route to success
- review practical activities that allow personalisation of learning in the classroom/workshop
