All Managers and Staff with a remit for Equality and Diversity, Quality Managers, Senior Managers and all staff with responsible for implementing equality legislation.

Focus:

Delivering on equality and diversity is government policy and a legislative priority.

Ofsted inspects college performance and identifies a separate grade for equal opportunities. But what are inspectors looking for? What evidence will they consider when making judgements? What counts as outstanding? What is best practice in the sector?

This practical course will help you maximize the benefits of equality to your college, avoid litigation and improve your inspection grade for equal opportunities.

  • understand and review the key aspects that inspectors look for when judging equal opportunities
  • explore how to more effectively embed equality in quality improvement activities
  • identify key areas to measure impact
  • consider what best practice colleges are doing for equality and diversity
  • reflect on current practice and identify specific areas for action and development
