Excellence in Marketing and Admissions
Meeting the requirements of equality legislation

Intended audience:

Marketing and Admissions Managers and staff, and all staff with a remit for Equality and Diversity.

Focus:

Inclusive, equitable and accessible marketing and admissions can make a significant contribution to a college’s grade for equal opportunities.  The New Inspection Framework has a much stronger focus on equal opportunities.  There will be a significantly greater scrutiny of equality progress and practice.  In addition, the inspection grade for equal opportunities, for the first time, is a ‘limiting grade’.  The grade will contribute to, and may limit inspection grades for Leadership and Management, and Overall Effectiveness.

Many colleges are missing out on opportunities to maximise the reach of their marketing and admissions activities and ensure marketing and admissions processes are fully inclusive.

This course will explore the implications of equality legislation for marketing and admissions staff, and share best practice in the sector.

Purpose:

During this event you will:

  • fully appreciate the implications of equality legislation for marketing and admissions practice
  • explore key factors that influence accessibility, equality and inclusion
  • improve the overall quality of marketing and admissions prospectuses, brochures, paperwork and on-line resources
  • consider systems to monitor and measure impact of policy and practice
  • improve the overall quality of practice
